Trappists from Kentucky

The singing of the Passion of the Lord according to St. Matthew on Sunday in Ramis Palmarum at the Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani, Kentucky, belonging to the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance. The monks, holding blessed palms in hands, are listening to the chant of the Passion, standing in the choir and facing the apse of the church. The priest is reading the Passion on the Epistle side of the altar, assisted by levites who are wearing only albs and maniples, and a stole in the case of the deacon.
