Servant of God Pius XII

Venerable Servant of God Pius XII during the Mass celebrated after the canonisation of Pius X. Thenoticeable absence of cardinal bishop assistant is due to the fact that it was he who celebrated the Mass. On the left there is a nobleman with the most pomponious secular title in the Papal Court: Prince Assistant to the Papal Throne. The beatification process began during the pontificate of Holy Father John Paul II who, by virtue of pope Francis’ decision, is to be included among the saints of the Church. Unfortunately, nobody is rushing to canonise Pius XII, despite the fact that his heroic virtues were acknowledged a few years ago.
