Abp. Lefebvre

Apostolic Delegate for the French-speaking Africa, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre C.S.Sp., during a visit to Madagascar. While holding his office, he strove to allow as many of the local people as possible to serve in African parishes and subsequently to become bishops in African dioceses. In his diocese, Dakar, the number of parishes, religious houses and clergy increased severalfold thanks to his efforts.
