Lisbon
Procession of Corpus Christi in Lisbon, 1908. The Patriarch of Lisbon, Archbishop Antonio Mendes Bello, whose falda is being supported by accompanying canons in mozzettas, is going with the Blessed Sacrament. According to the custom, the first canopy pole, flanked by flabella on its sides, is being held by the King of Portugal, Manuel II. The attachment of the train to the choir cassock is clearly visible in the attire of the bishop on the right, in a mozzetta on a mantelletta and with calotte and candle in his hands.
