Paschal mozzetta

camauro rossoHis Holiness John XXIII in a white, Paschal choir dress: in the stole of Leo XIII and in a damask mozzetta, but unfortunately without an Easter camerino. This pope restored camauro for everyday use; his predecessors used it only for portrait photos. Sometimes they were put on a pope’s head only after death, as it was the case with Pius XII.
