Canon of Notre-Dame Cathedral

Joseph Foulon, cardinal, the archbishop of Lyon and the Primate of the Gauls. The date of the photo suggest that he is depicted in the attire of an honorary canon of the Cathedral of Holy Virgin Mary, famous Notre-Dame. The mozzetta with ermine comes as no shock but the mantelletta, also with ermine – some pompon. And the sash with the tassel, and shoes with buckles. There are even bands!
