Cardinals
The Public Consistory, December 22, 1927. Among the five newly created cardinals were three religious, who unlike the other two, Hlond (first from the right) and Binet (second from the left), were dressed not in watered silk cappae magnae, but in woolen ones, appropriate to their orders. They were Serédi O.S.B. (first from the left), Rouleau O.P. (in the center) and Lépicier O.S.M. (second from the right). At the foot of cardinals, there are train-bearers sitting in crocciae.
