Cathedral in Amiens
The Notre-Dame of Amiens Cathedral built in the years 1220 – 1270, the pearl of the French Gothic and, until the 19th century, the place of storage of the relics of the head of St. John the Baptist. The church, with its evening illumination, imitating the 13th-century polychrome of the west facade, reminds all the spectators that the Middle Ages, as the antiquity, was cheerfully colourful: this is a truly Catholic style!
