Fr. Lassala Orts
Hic est enim calix Sanguinis mei, novi et aeterni testamenti: mysterium fidei: qui pro vobis et pro multis effundetur in remissionem peccatorum.
Fr. José Antonio Lassala Orts during the elevation of the Chalice during a Low Mass, 1948. Note the cushion under the missal instead of the standard wooden or metal lectern, and the semi-Gothic cut of the chasuble with the so-called forked cross, so characteristic of later chasubles commonly used in the Novus Ordo Missae. It is also worth noting that kneeling altar boys cover their entire legs with the cassock, which is a recommended practice.
