Ambrosian Rite
The Ambrosian Rite in the Milan cathedral. On the throne is sitting card. Schuster, whereas next to him is standing the Master of Ceremonies with a ferula who is wearing attire characteristic of a Master of Ceremonies of this rite: it resembles a croccia or mantellone, but it is cut out in the front and broad-sleeved. Another characteristic feature of the Milanese Rite presented in the photo is the deacon’s stole put on the dalmatic. Similarly to the assistant deacons, canons parati are also wearing mitres simplex.
