Valencia
The Corpus Christi procession in Valencia. Its history dates back to 1355, and the route itself has remained virtually unchanged since then. The procession is preceded by numerous mysteries showing biblical scenes and the fight of sin with virtue. Before the grand monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament, there are many masqueraders who present the lives of about three hundred biblical figures and saints, which makes this celebration a great catechesis. Particularly noteworthy are the scenes from the Old Testament, which were introduced to the procession in order to please the Jewish community, which supported financially so many urban investments, as well as the procession itself.
