Easter Vigil in Westminster

pre55eastervigilBlessing of the fire during the Easter Vigil celebrated in the metropolitan cathedral of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in London. The priest, standing on the doorstep of the church, is putting incense from an incense boat held by a deacon dressed in a folded chasuble (planeta plicata) into a thurible. The subdeacon with a cross standing on the opposite side is dressed alike. On the left, one can see canons of the Westminster Cathedral in the winter choir dress.
