Corpus Christi in Spain

Ricardo Martin/Kutxa Fototeka

A station at one of the altars during the Corpus Christi procession in San Sebastián, the capital of the Spanish province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Country, 1917. The country where the photo was taken can be guessed by the characteristic element of the deacon’s and subdeacon’s vestments, i.e. the collar (Spanish collarin) of dalmatica and tunicella.
