Holy Father John XXIII in the Sistine Chapel during conferring episcopal consecration to abp. Gabriel Coussa B.A., Greek Melkite titular archbishop of Hierapolis in Syria. In the photo we may clearly see the epimanikion (the cuffs worn over the sticharion) of the pope who, for the celebration, wore eastern vestments, but with western elements, such as a fanon, Latin pallium and tiara.
