Lyonese Rite – collect

A collect during a Pontifical Mass in the Lyonese Rite. The archbishop, surrounded by six priests and the assistants, is standing at the throne set in the apse of the cathedral. Before the altar are standing seven acolytes with candles before whom are seven deacons symbolising seven angels standing before the throne of God.
