Dachau

One of the first Masses of bl. Fr. Karl Leisner celebrated on 26 December A.D. 1944 in the concentration camp in Dachau. Fr. Leisner was secretly ordained a priest in the camp by bp. Gabriel Piguet. Liturgical books, oils and the permission of the bishop of the diocese of Munich, where the camp was located, were successfully obtained thanks to a young girl who brought them to the shop run by prisoners.
