Paschal Pius

His Holiness Pius XII in a paschal choir dress, i.e. in a white damask mozzetta and stole, and slippers of the same colour, descending from the central balcony of the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican after blessing to the City and the World (Urbi et Orbi) on Sunday of the Resurrection, March 28, 1948. The Holy Father is accompanied by two prelates in mantellone, while the butler standing on the side is holding a papal tabarro in his hands.
