Tongerlo
High Pontifical Mass celebrated on Holy Thursday in Norbertine Abbey of Our Lady of Tongerlo, Belgium at the beginning of the 2nd half of the 20th century. The abbey was raised from the ruins in 1840, more than forty years after the French had banished premonstratensians. Work on the new neo-Gothic church began in 1852 and was completed after six years. With the consent of Holy Father Pius IX, seven altars were consecrated with indulgences attached to them, the same that can be obtained by visiting seven Roman basilicas.
