Corpus Christi

The Feast of Corpus Christi in the Cistercian abbey in Krzeszów. Altar boys are followed by four deacons with maniples, each of whom sang the beginning of the Gospel at one of the altars. Behind them there are priests walking in chasubles; those in capes assist the abbot (one of them is carrying a crosier). Having sung the Gospel of St. John, the procession headed for the church and the responsory Melchisedech was chanted in which the name of Jesus is sung three times: at the first time all the faithful knelt and the priest blessed those who preceded him with the Blessed Sacrament; at the third time, in the similar way, he blessed the faithful walking behind him.
